Yesh!! F.I.R.S.T. T.I.M.E.!!
First time for my 2.5years of working life, I actually carried an unbrella to work.
Not that it has never rained for the past 2.5years, but I have never carried umbrella to work.
So, today is my purple umbrella's virgin trip out of the house out of its 1.5years of life cooping in my cupboard.
I even had some training done before I stepped out of my house this morning!! While I was doing so, the kid at my place asked my mom, "what is jiejie doing?" cos I was practising with the opening and closing of the unbrella for over 5 times. Mom said, "jiejie dont know how to use umbrella mah, so trying it out". Phwa! How embrarrasing!
Yes, for the past 10 years, I have not carried nor used an umbrella before.
Once, in office, I was forced to take brolly to lunch cos colleague needed my help. Very funny.
Upon entering the office, I attempted to bring the brolly in with me, cos raining pretty heavily. I realised the brolly cant go through the door, so I stepped out and tried to close. Cant find the little button on top to press, before I know, I was wet in the open struggling to close it! I screamed for my colleague to help. She was wowed to see me in the rain. I told her I cant close the brolly, is it spoiled? She gave an amazed look and said, "erm, you just need to pull it to close". I was like "what?!!" And I tried, oh, didnt know the big unfoldable brolly has not button on top. Sigh. So maluz!
To think I defeated the purpose of using a brolly during a rain, I was nevverthelessly, drenched.
Still remember the days in school life, I had to run into Home Economics room secretly to strip and iron my wet dripping uniform because I was chased out from my class for being drippy wet. Heh. During my half work half study days, there was no dryer nor iron, I just work/study in chill like I just had a bath and forgot to wipe before wearing cothes. Doh.
And today, because of my mom's nagging, I decided to break the trend, I took an umbrella with me.
Suddenly felt so feminine! With a PURPLE cute brolly. And I'm feeling dry! woah~
