the Decision

a.

Mood has been terribly out of control since last Wednesday 22 July. I would get irritated over anything people say, even words of concern. The more I googled for job vacancies, the more disappointed and stressed I got.

It was only until this Tuesday I saw some light given by Erd. Of course, babe and Paul contributed in boosting my confidence greatly too. I decided on a career switch.

Yes, a career switch. Which would mean I have to start from the bottom. It took me loads of guts and lower my ego to accept the fact I have to start all over again, with peanuts pay, orders from superiors, unreasonable requests, heavy workload, long working hours, etc. First thing I did was to reform my CV to suit the position that I am applying for.

I saw light when all those companies I sent CV to, called back. 80% of them actually. But starting from no experience is tough, it is only natural and luckily, bearable to know I wasnt shortlisted. But I already won one-third of the battle.. I can do it!!!

I saw some directions and am heading towards it. Wish me luck.

And recently my room is VERY bright. The workers planted TWO young trees.
And chopped the big one off! 0uch~~
If you realised, the worker is actually looking at me... Oops.

I have alot things yet to buy and prepare. Next week go shopping! Yay... And its only 8days away to my holiday trip!! YAAAAHOOO!

7years in a blink of an eye

b.

Despite my headache, which I am getting everyday since last last Sunday due to the sprain, I think this is still worth the tolerance to blog this post...

My mom brought up many kids and educated them during their toddler years almost since their birth. Many partings we have faced. Yet, tomorrow is just one of the many....

Darren has been here for 7 long years. (Not the longest though, longest record still stays 12 years) Somewhere in between he went to childcare centre but, needless to say, my mom's standard is 100x better than that of a childcare's, so he came back after few months in childcare.

Darren doesnt talk much, in fact, it seems he only talks to my mom. Only recently he finally talks to me again. But still having that weird wanna-talk dont-wanna-talk attitude. Here are some pictures~

Proudly introducing Darren..
The lunchtime sight..
He loves playing snake-and-ladder with my mom... I think my mom will miss the times too..The two little boys while Darren got ready for school..The big and the smallOh, and I bought Darren a Batman toy and a Batman stationery set on my mom's behalf and I myself bought him a Spiderman watch as farewell gifts...Taking the opportunity to showcase another little one..Life is full of partings isn't it?

the place that i dont remember

b.

Went Jurong Point for a 'quick' shopping yesterday, though it somehow became 5hrs of walking in the mall.. Ha.

I couldn't remember Jurong Point looks this manner at all!!!

Me with huge pufferAnd me with seafood paradise.
Amazing huh?

Maybe Mel is right, I have to spend till my resource runs dry and I will panic and formally be serious about finding a job. So I spent. Bought a dress, top, shoes, book, titbit.

Actually I have more to spend.. luggage lock, bikini set, paddings, more dresses, contact lens, lingerie, bags! But that is till I found a job. Boo..... Cashless.

Oh! And I just receieved my spectacles delievered from JB! Yay! Coolness~

Ok, *chants*
I must be more serious in job hunt.

I must be more serious in job hunt.

been through, whats next

c.

Yup, went for the second interview. I was late. *Sigh* Even though I took the right bus to PSA building this time, but still, overestimated the time needed. But I already took 1hr45mins! Not that I left home late, but I waited for that freaking bus for 35mins~

And I cannot tell if the VP and Senior Director like me or not. All I can do again, is to wait and look for other opportunities... That just dishearten me.

Though now it is only into the third week of me finding job but still, when there is no job offer, I get disheartened. Probably I was too eager for them to call me..

Oh well, try harder. Unless I marry into rich family be tai tai, if not, I still have to try harder!
がんばて!

Ok... despite losing heart, tomorrow I am going for a quick shopping spree. To do some retail therapy. Ha.

the 2nd interview..

a.

Dont know is it because I am just so reluctant and taking my own sweeeet sugary time to find a suitable job, and that is why I only have 2 interview request since I am back from my cruise.

I started to "boycott" recruitment agencies then I realised, I am left with not much choices. Since then, I only applied jobs thought direct employers.
Last Thursday, Beng brought me to Toa Payoh the Chinese Hospital. Had my neck treated.
I was in pain.

And then, these were left. For the price of SGD4.After the treatment (finally), had lunch and a nap before I rushed to PSA building for the interview.

Craps. A place too posh for me. Ladies in high (I meant HIGH) heels, tight skirts, thick make up, treated hair, fair skinned, nice perfume, sweet smiles and men in shirt, tie and pants, branded briefcase, manly perfume, gel-ed hair, shiny leather shoes, expensive watches, walked past me.

So different from my factory life. Haha. Was a little uncomfortable till the interview ended and I dreamt working in a office building. But the thought of, increased transport fees and killing meals costs frightens me.

Just as when I thought cool enough to have bus to Jurong East, I actually boarded the wrong bus from PSA. The bus went to Timbre, Bugis, Orchard, Chinatown, Zouk and all, it even went to Kallang MRTS and that is finally I realised, I boarded the wrong bus wrong direction. I burst into laughter on bus. Before I could react, I reached Geylang one-way street. My eyes wide opened and I noticed some MRTS ahead I quickly grabbed my belongings and ran down.

Aljunied. I reached Aljunied??!! That just wasted my $1.50! I wasnt far from home from PSA then, but I mysteriously reached Kallang... Zzzz... So I spent TWO hours home from PSA. Mayvbe I'm destined to work in factories, those industrial area kind. Ha..

Saturday went into JB for my spectacles to be done. TWO pairs and they gonna deliver to my home. Heh. Cant wait to receive.

Been a long time since I last met JH! As long as when I first met Beng..

Sunday went visit Auntie Tee in Changi Hospital. She looks ok. Much better I reckon. Then pop to see Jaelinn. Hee.

Okie, gotta go prepare for my 2nd round of interview in PSA building later on. Make sure I take the right bus right direction this time! Hmphf!!!

《一切完美》主题曲

石欣卉 - 我知道我变漂亮了
过去的批评嘲讽 (Let it go Let it go)
过去的轻蔑冷落 (Let it go Let it go)
有些人口不饶人 却忘了瞧瞧自己
又有什么资格

时刻都善良待人 (Let’s move on Let’s move on)
时刻都做好本分 (Let’s move on Let’s move on)

where the tiredness came from..

a.

Ok.. Besides the suay-ness of losing my personalised EZ-link card yesterday and losing some coins, at the very least, I had a happy Friday and Saturday. I repeat, apart from losing the card and coins.

Friday. Thanks to babe for always dating me to Timbre and taught me the way to Timbre by public buses and by foot from the bus stop (we even took a bus TOGETHER for the first time on Wed!). I managed to get there myself. And because of the uneasy route to the cafepub and because babe wasn't with me for the first time, I walked with extreme care.

Dexter and Mel were already there and I was 10mins late. Not as late as August who was like more than an hour late...

Had a surprise cake for Mel's belated birthday.Happy 'belated' Birthday SahSah!!

The yummy chicken wings. (babe and i also crave for these!)

Before the rest came.. We ate, we drank, we photowhored. My gf and I being narcissticOld men acting cuteDex and EveCoincidentally, Augustine's brother, Augustus's, gf happened to be my Secondary school mate! Haha... She (Ade) recognised me. Hoola~A shot by Aug's gf.. Aug (right behind us 3) seemed like out of the picture, like someone who tried to squeeze in..So, we had a better picture. a closer up one with Aug's gf in, taken by the waitress. These are the people (excluding Mel), whenever meet up, the only activity we do is basically just drinking. Rarely, only rarely, we go to the beach...like on Saturday, which is the following day.

It was pretty wrong to head to Sentosa when the day before we all got home only at 2am+ after pines of beer. Ha. I was sooooo reluctant and tired, but I dragged myself out of the bed still.

Went to.. Tanjong Beach KM8 reaching at about 12noon.

Ya. Probably we just got tempted by the free parking. Haha. Anyway, my group only consist of myself, August and Louis. The rest were August's brother and friends.

I met WengSheng on the beach, happily acknowledged each other for the first time. Usually we bumped onto each other on the streets, we only did a smile, this time, we waved heartily! Ha.

Playing the beach volley made me ached now. Two different group of people joined us in the game. Phwa, they are so serious in the match. I dare not even laugh. Before they joined, our little group were still joking saying I'd lose in my laughters. Hah. Yea, was plainly laughing throughout the game till the 'strangers' joined.

No photos was taken because somehow I was still so tired and I forgot I brought my camera along. But I think we should go more often! It was fun, relaxing, yet friendship bonding eh? Hehe.

Ok, so now the thought of using coins had made taking public transport harder. Urgh. Chill~

annoyed!!

f.

This is farking annoying and pissing me off!

I lost my ez-link card for the second time. (Being reminded how I lost g-shock two times as well!!) It would mean throwing $80 to the ground. WTF

This time was worse because this time my ez-link card has my photo and name on and its only less than a year old!!! Urgh.. Losing it to the public?!?!!!!! My face??? My name???

Wahlao.
Really made my day suck.

And when I turned my bag upside down out of the window at home to rid the sand, double checked nothing inside before that, i heard numerous coins dropping to the ground. URGH!!!

My wealth is losing out.

If anyone of you thinks this is good sign, yeah, probably heaven is hinting me to boost the cab industry OR its time I buy a car. Either or, it's just damaging to my bank account.

WTF

Oh! Forgot to say....

CURSE THAT BL**DY ASS WHO PICKED MY CARD AND CURSE X2 IF HE/SHE LAUGHS AT MY PHOTO!! CURSE X3 IF HE/SHE LAUGHS AT MY PHOTO AND THINKS I HAVE A DUMB NAME. CURSE X5 IF HE/SHE DID ALL THE ABOVE-MENTIONED AND MOCK AT ME FOR BEING CARELESS FOR LOSING THE CARD AND DUMB TO HAVE MY EZ-LINK CARD CUSTOMISED!!!!!! URGH!

okway wait... think i take back my words. Got karma. Later I picked somebody's things then I got cursed in a worse way. Choi~

3 wines day

a.

It is pretty cool meeting Eric and Hal. A laughicious night with delicious wines and yummilicious chicken wings cum pizzas.
Hell yeah, I looked sweaty! In fact, I was sweaty! Hot weather. Plus the glasses and glasses of wine. Oh, and I wore spectacles to town! OMG.

Met up with babe at Swensons till it was time to pop over Timbre. We were much earlier than targetted time! Heh^^ So we strated drinking first. And then, the gentlemen reached and it was just MORE wine.

After that, I was feeling more pressured to find a job after hearing Babe's story and now I am pressing myself to look for a job. Deep sigh.

so we finally gathered..

a.

It all started when Junjie SUDDENLY msn me on a super duper late Friday night last week. I then realised I do miss my ex classmates and wanted to know how is each of them doing lately. So, I made a move. I asked them out for a simple dinner @ jUrong pOint fIsh & cO. =)
80% invitees turned up. Only Ivan couldn't make it. Attendees are: XL, Inky, JJ, WS and yours truly.

Really nice catching up. Should do this more often! Heh! More and more are married and are marrying. Hehe.

Suddenly I hope I can get that job I was being interviewed for. There's pretty much things I want to buy!! Sigh. *fingers crossed*

Cruise Aquarius 5D4N

a.

Okway... So here's my post on my recent Star Cruise trip..

Ship: Star Aquarius
Date: 29June-3july 2008
Kaki: Beng
Destination: Penang, Phuket, Klang
Day 1
As usual, was held up at the custom as the officer was having doubts that that was not MY passport that I handed him. He tested my IC number. Everytime. "Erm, dont give me that suspicious look, I know I've grown prettier over the years."

The first sight of the ship (the place where I'm going to spend my next 5days) just right after passing the Custom.Onboard the Aquarius at about 12pm. The room wasnt totally cleared when we stepped in. Nevertheless, we still made ourselves comfortable while leaving the door opened for the crew to enter.

Look at our room!

There was free lunch on board but we had lunch before embarking so we decided to nuah in the room till the ship moves.

Oh, and it's pretty interesting that there is a Evacuation Drill conducted where all passengers will have to grab their life jackets from their room and proceed to their respective designated areas. I wonder how am I supposed to rush to my room for the life saving jacket if say I was somewhere else like the gym or pub, anyway...

We spend he afternoon exploring the ship and enjoying the view..

We basically spent our time (like 3.5hrs) in Star Club (casino) till dinner time. I got full house during my poker game but a waste I didnt bet the jackpot. But we had fun fantasizing if we hit the jackpot, we will be taking plane direct to Taiwan, not the cruise back to Singapore. Ha!

Then we were full of energy to whack every single kind of food @ Mariners Buffet! Muahaha. It's free anyway! :D

We headed to Aquarius Lounge which was a-la-carte (chargeable) for some drinks and live band music playing late at night too. But that was after Supper when we couldnt get to sleep. Hah. Slept too much in the day I guessed. :p

Day 2

I was all so excited because it will be my first time landing my feet on Penang land! The Penang shore excursion approximately about 4hrs actually costs like SGD42/pax!

While waiting to reach Penang.

@ the Penang Jetty at about 2pm+First stop was the Temple of the Azure Cloud, better known as Snake Temple. Legend has it that after the temple was built, snakes from the surrounding forest mysteriously appeared in the building and sensing this phenomenon as a good omen, the monk immediately gave shelter to the snakes and allowed them to take up residence in the sacred halls. I already spotted quite a handful but they sleep in the day so it's pretty safe.Ah beng prayingThere was a Snake Farm but cost money to enter so we didnt.Next stop was a short stopover at Malay Village. Simplicity of life. And yes, Tree ShotNext stop was the Malaysia Local Fruits Stall-Tuborg, displaying all types of local fruits and spices like nutmeg and cloves.Look at how everyone is crowding over at the durians stall!Got monkey in cage too. The kids gave her some keropok.2nd last stopover was at the Penang Batik Factory where we witness the traditional technique of batik painting using wax and dyes. I didnt buy any batik though but bought a Penang keychain and Beng bought coffee. Haha

Final stopover was at Tean Ean Local Products, where they sell local products like Tau Sa Piah, Nutmeg mace, Bah kut teh, etc. I bought one big bag, so did Beng!

Took the small boat back to big Cruise. The sight at our seats in the small boat. Heh^^Yummy PenangThe next thing we know, super hungry, growling stomachs. We discovered eating at another restaurant-Dyansty is free too! Only drinks are chargeable. There, we had our 2nd dinner of the trip. :)

Slept early because the following day excursion would be early morning, had to get up even earllier for breakfast before heading out.

Oh, not to mention, we made friends with a vey young couple from Brunei. The husband is Magician lar. HEHE. We also made friends with retired couple form Singapore. :p

Day 3

Woke at 7am+ for washing up and head to breakfast. Excited again, first time to Phuket~ This shore excursion which duration is approximately 7hrs costs another SGD77/pax!

This time is slightly better, no need boat transfer, straight away alight and land on hard concrete ground. Heh.

Myself before the excursion begin..

On way to first stop, passed by these old military planes. They were meant to be lowered into the sea in Phuket to feed the corals! Wow, I didnt know this. The first stop is to Wat Chalong, Phuket's most important Buddhist temple. Because I was too scantily dressed, I cannot enter the temples. I have to remove my cap to enter so I chose to enjoy the view from outside. But again, Beng went to pray..Second stop is to Adventure Island Safari for Monkey show, Elephants show and of course, Elephant ride!Beng fed the elephant. As usual, I timid, I hid.3 elephants, aged 11, 5 and 7. The 5 years old elephant very cute!It was really a waste I didnt volunteer myself for the elephant massage. I dont know why, I would usually be very sporting and be among first few to volunteer but I didnt. Wasted. Probably the glaring sorching Sun wears me out? Probably I was too hungry to be supportive? Probably I was excited for the ride than to spend 3mins on that massage? Probably I worry Beng laugh at me? Haha... Nah, no idea.

Woo, finally the elephant ride!

Then went to a short Monkey show, collected our photo (taken by their photographer, us on the elephant during the ride halfway) at the counter. So fast, end of Safari tour!

Then hurray, to Thai Naan Restaurant for our Lunch Buffet!

Then went to Wang Talang, where they offer quality local handmade souvenirs, gifts, Thai silk, pearls and jewellery.Second last stop was to Sri Burapa Cashew Nut Factory. We both bought some local goods from there too. I bought durains crackers too :p

Last stop, to Patong Beach.

We were so typical. So hot to shop. So, we searched for Massage!!! Wahaha. S.h.i.o.k..

We only have like 1hr20mins at the beach. The massage is 1hr so left few minutes to shop. We both bought 2 apparels each! Hehe.

Ok, bye Patong Beach!

So, going back the slopes up and down from Patong back to the Port of Phuket takes another 45minutes. Thats how we basically spent the 7-8hours of our Tuesday.

We made friends with one aged couple and their youngest son, from Singapore. Very friendly.

First thing back on ship, took a quick nap and headed for dinner at Dynasty Restaurant again. Chinese food this time round. Heh^^

Right after the dinner, I felt terrible seasick. We took a short walk and tried to catch Crew Extravaganza performed by the crew at Stardust Lounge and I cannot take it, so headed back to room for a sleep. Beng went for supper himself while I decide to take a walk to the roof for some fresh air. But only for awhile because Beng forgot his access key card. Vomits on the floor, no lar, not from me. So I trust myself to be normal. To be feeling seasick. Ha.

Day 4

We woke pretty late somehow. Missed the breakfast and went to Spices Restaurant for late Morning Tea at 11am. The restaurant was facing the PACKED pathetic tiny swimming pool, but I was still tempted to plunge in after lunch.

It was Beng's turn to feel sicksea so he went to sleep while I got changed and plunged in! I was all alone in the pool at 2.45pm!! I swam and I sunbathed.

Headed to the Acitvity Centre to purchase Beng's Bingo tickets and it made my day. The crew asked how old am I. I thought this Bingo was for kids and I was overaged. After much persistence from the crew, I revealed my age and asked was there a age limit. She laughed and say because I looked very very young, these Bingo tickets can only be sold to people above 18 years old. I broke into laughter! What?! I looked like under 18??!

Went back to room and woke Beng up for the Bingo game. We didnt win... LOL. 5 sets for SGD10.

Then we went to Oceana Barbecue at Deck 12 (roof) to have dinner. Shiok. But Beng went back right after dinner for his work to be done, while I walked around, enjoying the live band, sunset view and BBQ fragrance. That was when we reached Port Klang, to disembark some passengers.

Then we nuah-ed in the room. He worked and I tv-ed. Till late night we went for supper, with bill settlement in mind after meal. The last supper on board. The Q for bill settlement @ the reception was surprisingly short.

Back to the room, I watched "Stay Alive" via HBO. Beng so tired he slept early. I pestered him to be awake as I'm afraid of watching thrillers alone but he chose to hug my pet frog and sleep. Haha. I screamed and jumped throughout but none of my actions woke him at all. Ha. In the end when the show ended, I dont even dare to pee, I merely off the lights and covered in blanket, scaring myself with every single sound I heard when my eyes were closed. Terrible.

Day 5

We woke late again! But I have good reason, I slept late watching HBO! We rushed for breakfast after showers. Collected passports immediately after meal, Q was again, surprisingly shockingly short and fast.

Went back to room for quick check-check to see if missed anything and wait for time for gather to check out. Heh. All's packed!

Look at the video and you guys will understand why seasick is unavoidable!

Back to Stardust Lounge, waiting for disembarkment. That was a freaking long wait...

Finally hallo Singapore at about 12pm! Had MacDonalds for lunch before heading back home for long long afternoon nap because I tried to escape from unpacking. HAHA.

It was a happy trip, thank you Beng.

The ship was infested with Japanese and people from India!! I was not a racist but I must say they were rude. Yay.

Imagine taking Cruise to HK or Taiwan, I probably would have puked till jellied legs and white sheet face. Where shall we head to next? hehehhehe. Oh, and take cruise only when you have extra money to spend. Expensive. I didnt even know they will charge 25% on the room rate per pax! WOah
