the UBIN trip

A.
Okway, finally have the time to upload the pictures and blog about the cause of my legs aches. A tedious workout on Sunday... Here goes, let the pictures do the talking...

All still hyped on the way there (on boat)::All ready to set off with the rental bikes::First destination, to see GuanYing (that is, spot it if you can lor)::Haven't even cycle for 20mins, I got slight accident already. Last year I cut my ankle, this year?? I cut my thumb. Ha. The blood flowed like nobody's business. Not that I had a fall, not that I cut it during cycling, I highly suspect I cut it when I tried to open the mineral water bottle cap. Wahaha.. I know, hopeless la. Jade-d hands okie? Skin on hand pretty thin, can't be helped.

Next destination, Temple (but closed)::

So we decided to trek up the highest point before lunch::Only few went all the way up to highest point though.

Do what? Nothing but photowhoring!::

Those at the peak::

They spotted caterpillar. I thought that was its legs, but nope, those are ants::

Time to unlock bikes to Lunch area::Happy Lunching (waiting for food to be served)::Rained heavily while we were having lunch. Just like last year where I went Ubin find them after lunch time, also heavy rain. Hmm...

4 left us after lunch.

Then we head out through the drizzles to a beach where there were professional cyclists around::

Nothing much can be done there, so I photowhored..::And the rain got heavier, so the girls stopped and shared an umbrella while the guys stood in rain!::Look at our dirty feet from riding in mud::The poor dirty bikes in the rain::When the rain got lighter, we head out at some nice beach for shelter where Benson got his legs scrubbed nicely as though he went for spa in the toilet! HAH!

Then there were these two cute boys, one of them offerring biscuits. Woo.. Eye candies =D We didnt accept the offer but someone else wanted those biscuits...

It's him::

When Benson is insisting on TeaTime, we decided to check out Chek Jawa!! But we see two more off at the jetty before heading there.

Travelled for sometime in the drizzles before we saw this sign::

Chek Jawa, cannot cycle in, so excitedly parked our bikes and walked in::The viewing tower where we climbed till almost the top::The infamous Chek Jawa at low tide (got do homework one okay?)::But luck not on our side, suddenly rained and we got stuck at tower! Then we dashed to information station for shelter.

Look at us, ALL wet::

Eve @ Chek Jawa::Look at the muddy trail..::In order to return the bikes in time, we have to brave the rain! We managed to return at 6.00pm sharp! Very cold, brrrrr....

Us at hearty dinner with request to off all the fans::

This cat very poor thing at Jetty, they say I keep snapping its pic also no give it food. hehe..This cat is wonder cat. Miracle happened. While it got frightened everytime I tried to take its pic, when I did a self timer to take a group shot like this...,... the cat slowly made its way into our picture (notice bottom right, part of cat)!! And it kept still till the picture was taken. When I walked over to collect my camera, it quickly went back to hiding under the bench!!! OMG! Think the cat too paisey take picture alone la~

Anyway, thanks all!!::

Despite the rain, we all had ultimate fun!!!

weekends

A.

Friday finally met up with August and gang but less August. Heh ^^
It's just a term.. "August and gang", which usually includes Dexter, Shane, Roger, Louis and of course, August himself.

But last Friday to MOS was less August and Shane. Louis brought along few new friends, TaySee, Raymond and Boon. Amazingly to me (only), they all know Glenn and some are even Glenn's CURRENT colleagues. Not exactly a small world cos from a coincidental DF outing, I already found out Glenn and Louis knew each other.

I cannot picture how I could have possibly lose SEVEN rounds of five-ten continuously, seriously, REALLY. I drank from the bottle. I seriously believe after I done that, no one would want to continue, because it is simply impossible to beat my record. I am darn lousy. No wait, it should be.. "they are all darn EVIL"!!

Head over to Geylang for TimSum! =D Shrimp dumplings I had EIGHT! Yum.

Saturday was a very relaxing one. A Great World City expedition. HAHA. Spent more than half a day there. Had Ben& Jerrys, then watched "Rendition" (not Pendition, thanks Starcrusher for highlighting to me the mistake!!) then went HK restaurant for dinner and head home. A simple relaxing one.

Sunday.. Erm... You guys will know what I have done to get all these aches and cold if you look out for my next upcoming blog post!

Sick Sick Sick.
Today fine but can feel body pretty weak still. Came to work anyway.

Yesterday left office at 2pm+. Very cold and weak then. Sigh
Then I reached home, sleep.
Wake up for dinner, then sleep.
Wake up for TV, then sleep.
Then really sleep till this morning.

Reminded of the days when I'm so sick, they would come visit me while I'm asleep and it's a very sweet gesture, I thought. But usually I was so sick I couldnt entertain them. I couldnt even remember what time they came and left. Mom told me they came. :) The thought of it, is sweet enough, to simply ask "are you alright, dear?" Well, it's the extra effort they put in that touches my heart. To travel all the way down.

Now? Chey, dont think anyone would feel upset or worried when I'm sick. I'm just all alone.
But at least papa still care. Heh ^^ But oh well.... All's over, so wake up and face the reality. Be it, I'm sick or hungry or tired or troubled or upset, no one will be here for me.

Just have to remind myself, the good days are over. Boo

Curse Part II

F.

As if the curses weren't enough..

Monday
Went home to watch TV and relax abit.
WHAT?! Saw Shanming's gf on TV~ Oh my, she looked plump. But that's the effect on TV anyway, that time I was on the 45mins show, I looked fat and swollen too! LOL. But she is, in fact, slim la. Just that her face complexion was.......
Anyway, she didnt win the competition.
I wasn't gloating, I swear. But given how SM was to me, HaHAha, I think I'm already being nice here.

Oh man, seeing her reminds me of the times... The first met @ J-Bar then KTV. Then slowly realise, she was my Primary schoolmate, one of the tallest girl then. Then reminds me how nasty the bf was with his words and groundless accusations. And how my readers are laughing over that.

Reminded me how we went JB makan together and had laughters then overnight because of what the bf did, we no longer exchange words and my relationship was in danger. LOL. So little kids back then....

Tuesday
Woke with BAD sorethroat and flu!!!!
Best, PERIOD came while I was sleeping. Yes, imagine the mess. Pui!
Came work and customer called to fiak left right.

CURSED!!!

the CURSES

F.

My cursed weekend...
Because of this, I'm actually having severe writer's block.
Been staring at the screen for pretty long time..

Friday
Morning woke and started packing for Aur Diving trip. On the way to work, so cursed, realised I had forgotten quite alot of things. The planning of the trip brought along so many conflicts and redundant misunderstandings, and I thought that was just about it. But no!! So wrong. Despite my gear and luggage in office, I received news on, the trip has been cancelled. So, the throwing-daggers at one another aint worth at all. Cursed.

Cursed, had my colleague to send me back from office at 7pm. I cannot manage.
So, ended up at home at night. Boo.

Saturday
Wanted go for a swim. Morning already cursed. Rained. Stuck at home and lay on bed, stared at the ceiling, nwah.

And then, started surfing net with my handphone even before I get OUT of bed! Started swearing alot nonsense to babe. Somehow the topic drifted to mens' dicks. And the topic never changed. The topic definitely kept us pretty awake.. Ha! Then we had a conclusion, dont go too deep into it, later KARMA.
Buahaha.

Then it was time to go out, shopping and relac at PS Cafe, and mubee..

Just as we turned out from my place, still within 2km (or probably 1km), I saw someone familar at the traffic junction. Thinking it could not be, I waited for him to pass us. OMG. The confirmation of the familarities.. froze me. *SNAP*

..... *speechless* Thoughts filled my mind.

And yesh, like babe said, its affirmation of the curse of the talk on dicks! URGH.

Now, he works even nearer to me?!?! Why didnt I know that?
Thing is, why does he take that path home?? Funny.

Luckily I had a good Saturday outside! With great food and good mubee "Brothers" and a irritable yet funny companion.

Sunday
In the name of beauty, I was cursed. My eyes swelled badly when I woke in the morning!!! Because of the detestable contact lenses I wore the entire day on Saturday! WHY?! Boo.. So, I stayed home.

And explained to mom whole morning why/how/when they patched up when I brought up the topic whom I met on Saturday.

Shoulder ached as well. Didnt sleep well on Saturday. Boo.

Hence, the conclusion, why am I not out diving?! If I am, I wouldnt have met him, I wouldnt have wasted my effort packing, I wouldnt have swollen eyes~

the life saviours..

This is just a very random post. Heh ^^

I took these pics while this civil defence boys are doing their work near my place. Haha. Doing checking on the condition of the fire hosereal by the roadside.

Guess where me and my family went.....?
Here::

Today, my brother got himself a wife..

I took a day's leave but woke pretty early in the morning. Brother and the wife too. 10am+ receive the hand bouquet that was delivered to my house for the wife. They left to SummerVille hotel to pick the in-laws to ROM.

Dad, mom and myself reached ROM at about 2pm. Finally saw the in-laws. Not as young as I thought they would be. Both are white haired. The dad has a friendly face but didnt talk much at all. The mom has a sulky face and was even more silent than the dad.

Don't even need to look at me, I got problem with speaking Hokkien. They cannot understand English nor speak fluent Mandarin, I'm totally speechless. I only smile smile.

Anyway, catch this, the bench at ROM::My brother getting ready::The booking time is actually 3.10pm but it's first-come-first-served basis so we went in at 2pm+!

This actually caught my sight, displayed outside the registry office::I took a long video inside and I think my photos were among the best, I was in a very good position compared to the other photographers..

Groom and Bride looking at the Marriage Cert in amusement::Then we head out to have photographs taken...

The two families::My family::After that, all of them headed to my place.

In the car, I realised my brother's wife's sister and friend were much much friendlier and more talkative than the wife. Pretty easy to communicate with them.

All were excited over photos and hid in my brother's room to do up the photos while the in-laws sat in the living room with the TV on. I seriously doubt they were watching or they can even understand what was shown on TV. Then before leaving for dinner, was told the wife's mom not feeling well, carsick. Kinda expected that would happen though, but there is nothing much we can help as hosts.

Thus, we then took a train instead of cab to Chinatown Point for dinner @ Mouth Restaurant. A HongKong restaurant that is opened 24 hours.

Say cheese~::When the first dish was served, silence filled the air. But my stomach is growling in hunger!! And please look at what was the first dish::Yesh~~!! Huge Prawns, how can I ever resist??? Cannot be mah..

I waited for the youngest in age to greet. She was silent. Then I thought as a host, I was the youngest in fact. So I greeted in Mandarin, "Everyone eat".. The wife's sister and friend seemed overjoyed immediately, they followed greeting cheerfully and loudly. As usual, the wife didnt greet, either that or her voice can only be heard within 30cm from her.

For the first half of the dinner, nonsense filled the table, dad and me and the two young ladies talked. Second half, I was sooo soooo tired after the food. LOL. So it was pretty quiet except occasionally I talked to my parents and the two young ladies talked to the just-wedded couple.

Thank you, Brother, for the yummy dinner!!! =D

I went home with my parents. The two young ladies went back themselves. My brother together with the wife, sent the in-laws back to the hotel.

What shocked me for the day was... While me and my parents were all sitting in the living room watching TV when brother and wife came back, the wife walked in straight to the room without greeting my parents at all. If she feels awkward calling them "mom" and "dad", I think she should at least greet them "auntie" and "uncle" even if she has not greeted them for a long while.. But its within the FIRST 24hrs of marriage!

I already strike out the possibility for her actions as just being shy. Probably she still young mentally, but respect and basic humanly behavior is still needed especially in front of my presence. I dread housework so much, yet I always help out at my bf's.

Anyway, it's good to see my brother found his loved one.. Now, I would expect my relatives to arrow me, "when is your turn?" Urgh.

Saturday brought mama to Istana Open House! Some pictures taken...

Myself at the Main building (entrance fee $2)::

Myself at the Fountain::

Mama and me::

Then we walked down the steep stairs to see Victoria Statue :S (spot me and my mom) ::

Statue of Victoria, doesnt seem well maintained though::

Flowers at Victoria pond::

Its worth going into Istana to see see look look, but wrong day la.. Rainy day. Istana everywhere is grass patch, hence, it didnt make the outing as great as I thought it will be. Sob.

Then it was simple shopping at PS and OG.. Mama shocked me by buying hundred dollars heels!! OMG.

Dinner made me $40 poorer.... Frog porridge. Heh^^

Sunday was sailing. Tiring. I was excited at first but.... during the sail, no wind!!! And burning hot~ Sigh... That explains my aches now..

Oh, and I'm $200 poorer.... I declare I'm broke.
